Contempl’Art is actively looking for photographers for the third edition of LES BALKANNES exhibition in Paris, March and April 2024 !

About the project
​
LES BALKANNES exhibition promotes artistic expression in the Balkans through fresh perspectives on contemporary topics, working with photographers, performers and academics in alternative cultural locations and innovative galleries based in Paris.
Theme : PEACE. For this new edition of LES BALKANNES exhibition, we aim to convey messages of peace through photography.

Selection
​
Originality, relevance to the theme and quality of the descriptive text are the main criteria of evaluation for the photographs.
​
An independent artistic committee made up of art or Balkans specialists and professional photographers deliberates shortly after the application deadline is reached.
​
The jury selects one (1) photograph per country, so eleven (11) pictures in total. The Contempl’Art Team selects one (1) more picture as “Coup de cœur de l’association".
​
Selected photographs will be exhibited for the duration of the project in Paris with a possible extension if other opportunities present themselves in France or internationally.
​
Requirements
​
The call for applications is exclusively open to any resident born and/or living in the following countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia.
​
There is no age limit and participation is free of charge.
​
How to apply
​
Artworks must be sent in digital format to the following email address : assoexpo@hotmail.com.
Deadline: January 22, 2024.
1. 1 photograph in high resolution (.TIF format exclusively) and named as follows: «Country_Name_Surname_Title ».
2. A short but detailed explanatory text about the photograph, around 300-600 words, in English.
3. Terms and Conditions document signed and dated.

Contempl'Art covers the costs of printing and laminating of the photographs. The eventuality of a picture selling can be discussed at the end of the exhibition.
