September 16th to 23rd - VELVET MOON - 44 Rue Molière 93000 Montreuil

September 25th to October 9th - PARIS ANIM' LES HALLES - 6/8 Place Carrée 75001 Paris

Contempl'Art association organised one exhibition called LES BALKANNES that reunited 12 artists from the Balkans showing their representation of women in their countries through photography. 

The photographies were first exhibited at the Velvet Moon in Montreuil from September 16th to 23rd. For the vernissage, Contempl'Art invited the tattoo artist Mel, specialised in Croatian and Bosnian tattoos, to give a speech about her art and do a performance afterwards. The next evening, the Albanian performer Jonisa gave a concert and presented the songs of her latest album named "Ego". 

Then the photographies were exhibited at Paris Anim' Les Halles, in the heart of Paris, from September 25th to October 9th. For the vernissage, the association invited a Historian professor from the University of Aix-Marseille, who held a conference on "The Women from the Balkans in the Ottoman Empire".
